SMS Terms of Use

NJ SENIOR BENEFITS SMS TERMS OF USE

Effective date: October 30, 2026

PROGRAM AND SCOPE

The NJ Senior Benefits SMS Program provides messages about your inquiries, requested Medicare and Medicare Part D information, life insurance inquiries, appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, customer care, and related follow-ups. Messages may be sent using automated technology. These SMS terms apply to the messaging program you choose to join; using our website alone does not enroll you.

OPTIONAL ENROLLMENT AND CONSENT

You enroll by taking the affirmative opt-in action described at the point where you provide consent. Consent must identify NJ Senior Benefits and the message purposes. A phone number submission, a general inquiry, or agreement to our Privacy Policy or general terms alone is not SMS consent. Your consent applies only to the identified program and purposes. You must own the number or be authorized to consent to messages sent to it.

NO PURCHASE REQUIREMENT; SEPARATE MARKETING PERMISSION

Consent to SMS is not a condition of buying any product or service, submitting an inquiry, or receiving assistance. You can decline SMS and contact us by phone or email. Consent for customer-care messages, requested information, or appointment reminders does not authorize unrelated promotional messages. Any marketing or promotional SMS program requires separate prior express written consent and its own clear enrollment disclosures. Consent is not sold, rented, purchased, or transferred between businesses.

MESSAGE FREQUENCY AND CHARGES

Message frequency varies based on your requests, appointments, and interactions. The program may include recurring messages within the scope of your consent. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Contact your carrier with questions about your messaging or data charges.

STOP — UNSUBSCRIBE

Reply STOP to any program SMS to unsubscribe at any time. You may receive one non-promotional message confirming your opt-out, after which program texts will stop unless you provide fresh consent. You can also contact us to request that texts stop. Opting out of SMS does not cancel an insurance policy, appointment, or other service. Do not send a new opt-in unless you want to resume messages.

HELP — CUSTOMER SUPPORT

Reply HELP to a program SMS for assistance. You may also call 844-265-7223 or email njseniorbenefits@gmail.com. The phone number is a customer support voice number; this page does not represent that it is currently enabled as the SMS sending number. The applicable SMS number is identified in the program's enrollment materials and messages.

PRIVACY AND MOBILE INFORMATION

Our Privacy Policy explains our information practices. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, purchased, or transferred. Messaging service providers may process information solely to deliver and administer communications on our behalf. Read the Privacy Policy at https://www.njseniorbenefits.org/privacy-policy.

DELIVERY AND CARRIER RESPONSIBILITY

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier, device, coverage, and other factors; we cannot guarantee receipt of every message. Contact us directly if you need to confirm an appointment or a request. Notify us if you change or give up the mobile number used for this program.

INSURANCE INFORMATION AND EXTERNAL RESOURCES

Texts provide general information and customer support. They do not constitute an insurance application, enrollment, policy issuance, or a guarantee of coverage, eligibility, pricing, or government benefits. Coverage is subject to the applicable plan or policy terms. NJ Senior Benefits is not affiliated with or endorsed by Medicare or any government agency. Government resource links are provided for visitors to use directly with the listed agencies.

SENSITIVE INFORMATION AND OTHER CHANNELS

Do not send Social Security numbers, Medicare identification numbers, payment-card information, or sensitive medical details by ordinary SMS. SMS consent and opt-out choices apply to the SMS program; WhatsApp, email, and voice communications are separate channels with their own applicable permissions and controls.

CHANGES AND CONTACT

We may update these terms by posting a revised effective date. Changes do not enroll you in new message categories or expand your consent. NJ Senior Benefits | www.njseniorbenefits.org | njseniorbenefits@gmail.com | 844-265-7223 (customer support calls)
