Privacy Policy
NJ SENIOR BENEFITS
Effective date: October 30, 2026
ABOUT THIS POLICY
NJ Senior Benefits ("NJSB," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information when you visit www.njseniorbenefits.org, submit a request, or communicate with us, including by SMS text message.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, phone number, email address, mailing address, state of residence, language preference, service interests, appointment details, and the content of your inquiries. For messaging, we may maintain consent and opt-out records, including the date, method, source, and wording of your consent, together with message delivery and interaction records. Our website may also collect basic device, browser, usage, and cookie information.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to respond to your requests about Medicare, Medicare Part D, and life insurance; arrange and follow up on appointments; provide requested customer support; maintain communication and consent records; operate and secure our services; and meet applicable legal requirements. We send SMS messages only within the purposes and permission provided at enrollment. An inquiry or the submission of a phone number alone is not permission for recurring promotional texts.
SMS CONSENT AND YOUR CHOICES
SMS participation is optional. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service, submitting an inquiry, or receiving assistance. Informational messages and promotional messages require the appropriate consent; permission for appointment reminders or customer care is not permission for marketing. Any promotional texting requires separate prior express written consent. You may receive recurring messages about the specific program you choose. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
MOBILE INFORMATION AND CONSENT ARE NOT SOLD OR SHARED FOR MARKETING
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, purchase, or transfer text-messaging opt-in data or consent. Any other information-sharing descriptions in this policy exclude SMS originator opt-in data and consent; these are not shared for any third party's independent use. Service providers may process the minimum information needed solely to deliver and administer our communications on our behalf, subject to appropriate confidentiality and use restrictions.
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND REQUIRED DISCLOSURES
We may use service providers for website hosting, forms, communications, appointment scheduling, record management, and security. They may process information on our behalf for those functions. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, prevent fraud, or secure our services. These disclosures do not authorize third-party marketing or the sale or transfer of SMS consent.
STOP TEXTS OR GET HELP
Reply STOP to an SMS message to opt out. You may receive one non-promotional confirmation of your opt-out; further program texts will stop unless you provide fresh consent. Reply HELP for assistance, call 844-265-7223, or email njseniorbenefits@gmail.com. The phone number is provided here for customer support calls. WhatsApp is a separate channel; SMS consent does not automatically enroll you in WhatsApp messaging. You may use WhatsApp controls or contact us to stop WhatsApp communications.
COOKIES AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve its services. You can manage cookies through your browser and available site controls. Links to government agencies, insurers, scheduling tools, and other external websites are governed by those services' own policies.
SECURITY, SENSITIVE INFORMATION, AND RETENTION
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. Do not send Social Security numbers, Medicare identification numbers, payment-card details, or sensitive medical information through ordinary SMS or unsecured website messages. We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including consent, opt-out, recordkeeping, and applicable legal requirements.
YOUR PRIVACY REQUESTS
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information we hold about you, subject to applicable law, identity verification, and necessary legal or operational retention. Opting out of SMS does not require deleting your information or ending other services.
CHILDREN AND POLICY CHANGES
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We may update this policy by posting a revised version with a new effective date. A policy update does not itself create or expand your SMS consent.
